Your Tulsa pest control can help you remove cockroaches from your home. Cockroaches are decomposers, they feed on dead plants and animals. However, they are considered pests when they invade and settle in our homes. Also, they can affect our health by spreading diseases and destroying things such as books, clothes, and food. Cockroaches secrete liquids that produce awful odors. This odor may spread to other clean items, books, clothes, and cooking utensils. Droppings that are like pellets also contribute to this bad offensive odor.
Additionally, cockroaches shed their skin during the molting process of their nymphs. They also produce allergens which include their feces, shaded skin, antennae, and legs. In vulnerable individuals, making contact with these parts can trigger an allergic reaction, and in extreme cases, an asthma attack. If you notice signs of cockroaches in your home, consult Tulsa pest control.
Cockroach Development
An adult cockroach emerges after undergoing a different development process from birth. These processes involve three life stages namely, the egg, nymph, and adult. Cockroach eggs are deposited in groups in a case or capsule called an ootheca. This capsule is usually dropped or glued to some surface by the mother cockroach immediately after it is formed.
However, the female German cockroach carries their capsule protruding from her body until the eggs are ready to hatch. There may be from 30 to 48 eggs in the capsule of the German cockroach, but capsules of other cockroaches may have only 10 to 28 eggs. They hide the ootheca in a safe and secured corner of crevices in a wall a few days before it hatches. The newly hatched nymphs emerge with no wings and shed their skins 5 times before becoming fully developed winged adults.
Cockroach Nest and Tulsa Pest Control
Cockroaches hide in shady, isolated areas during the day and crawl out to feed at night. Inside your home, they may be seen around the kitchen sink, in cracks around or underneath cupboards and cabinets or inside them, behind drawers, around pipes, behind window or door frames, behind loose baseboards or molding strips, on the underside of tables and chairs, in the bathroom, and in cabinets.
The German cockroach is usually found in the kitchen and bathroom, although it may be found all over the house. They prefer damp, warm locations and usually develop in garages, sewers, attics, storerooms, and similar spots, and then enter our home from outside breeding spots. Contact Tulsa pest control.
