All About Fleas
Fleas are small insects with small bodies, bristles, and cuticles. Their size is around 0.1 cm to 0.32 cm. Some of their signs are flea dirt, eggs, hair loss, pale gums in pets, etc. All of them go through four stages in their life cycle. The first stage is the egg stage which develops within two weeks. The time can differ depending on the weather. Then they turn into larvae. In the larvae stage, fleas have a transparent body color, and their size is ¼ inch at that time. This stage lasts for around 20 days. Afterwards, the flea steps into the pupae stage where it stays in its cocoon. After the pupae stage, it steps into the adult stage and settles to bother mammals.
Note that flea eggs are so small that you may consider them flea dirt. But they are actually eggs with a size of 0.5 mm, oval shape, and white color, just like a white grain. Almost all fleas have a lifespan of 100 days. If you don’t take any steps, fleas can make your pet’s condition worse.
